Inland Imaging’s interventional radiologists specialize in providing minimally invasive treatments for vascular disease, cancer, aneurysms, uterine fibroids, and many other medical conditions that once could only be treated with conventional surgery.
Treatments with interventional radiology – which involves the use of imaging technology to perform medical procedures inside the body – are less risky, offer a faster recovery time, and are generally more cost-effective than the surgical alternative.
Interventional procedures are often performed to place small medical devices inside the body that are used to deliver targeted treatment or therapy. For instance, a tiny catheter can be placed at a tumor site to send chemotherapy drugs directly to the cancer cells.
Our interventional radiologists are board-certified physicians with special training in image-guided medical procedures. Depending on your condition, your procedure may be guided with fluoroscopy, ultrasound, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), or Computed Tomography (CT).
